Esse Health is currently seeking a full-time Negative AR Specialist for a hybrid role to be based out of our Central Office / HUB located in Town & Country.

The Negative AR Specialist is responsible for researching negative account balances within the electronic practice management system. This role determines the appropriate resolution, including whether a refund is due to the patient or insurance carrier, and ensures that negative balances are processed in accordance with departmental guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications:

    • Billing and Coding certificate preferred or relative experience of three plus years in the medical billing
    • Experience identifying negative balances for refund to patient or insurance carrier
    • Experience in posting account corrections in an electronic practice management system – NextGen experience a plus
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel required
Physical guidelines include the ability to sit for up to eight hours per day; work at a computer workstation for up to eight hours. Ability to lift and carry heavy records or boxes of up to 20lbs.
