We are seeking a transformative Vice President of Engineering to lead and scale our global engineering organization as we accelerate innovation in the process manufacturing sector. Our customers span SMB, Mid-Market, and Enterprise organizations across Food & Beverage, Pharmaceuticals, Cosmetics, Chemicals, and other highly regulated industries. Having grown through acquisition, we need a strategic, operational, and technical leader who can protect product integrity and revenue while driving innovation and speed across a diverse product and customer landscape.
This executive will shape our engineering strategy across cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments; integrate AI into our product offerings; and build a KPI-driven culture that delivers reliable, high-quality results. The VP of Engineering will lead distributed teams across North America, LATAM, EMEA, and our Center of Excellence in Bangalore, partnering closely with Product, Sales, and Customer Experience to deliver measurable customer value and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Scale
- Develop and execute a unifying engineering strategy for a product portfolio built through acquisition-modernizing architectures, rationalizing platforms, and protecting revenue during transitions.
- Create scalable processes, systems, and operating models to support rapid growth across global customer segments.
- Build and lead a high-performing, globally distributed engineering organization with clear accountability, predictable output, and a strong culture of ownership.
Technology Vision & Delivery - Own the engineering roadmap in partnership with Product leadership and ensure timely, high-quality delivery of new functionality, enhancements, and customer commitments.
- Lead modernization of cloud and hybrid architectures, ensuring best-in-class performance, reliability, and security.
- Integrate AI/ML capabilities into product offerings to drive automation, insights, and next-generation customer experiences.
- Establish and maintain engineering excellence across code quality, testing, DevOps, CI/CD, and release management.
Cross-Functional Partnership - Partner with Product to translate customer and market needs into scalable solutions.
- Collaborate with Sales and Customer Experience to ensure engineering enables customer outcomes, retention, and expansion.
- Engage directly with strategic customers and partners to support adoption, innovation, and long-term relationships.
Operational Excellence - Build and manage a KPI-driven engineering organization with metrics covering productivity, quality, reliability, and speed.
- Drive alignment and collaboration with the Bangalore Center of Excellence and regional engineering teams across NA, LATAM, and EMEA.
- Ensure effective capacity planning, resource allocation, and budget management.
- Champion continuous improvement and the adoption of best practices across processes, tooling, and communication.
QualificationsExperience & Expertise - 10-15+ years of engineering leadership experience, with at least 5 years at the senior/director/VP level leading large-scale, distributed teams.
- Experience in process manufacturing, industrial technology, supply chain, or other complex, regulated environments strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success building scalable platforms in organizations with acquired products and varied architectures.
- Deep cloud expertise in AWS and Azure, including modernizing legacy systems and designing cloud-native solutions.
- Experience operating within both cloud and on-premise deployment models.
- Proven ability to integrate AI/ML technologies into commercial products.
Leadership & Management - Strong track record building KPI-driven engineering cultures focused on accountability, predictability, and continuous improvement.
- Experience managing global engineering organizations, including offshore centers such as Bangalore.
- Excellent partner to Product, Sales, and Customer Experience; able to translate business priorities into technical execution.
