SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST - COST
Duties:
Effectively and efficiently performs all the essential job functions of a Financial Analyst as described in that Job Description.
Coordinates the planning and reporting process for assigned business units and serves as liaison between finance and the business for analytical and budgeting support.
Responsible for the delivery of accurate and timely management reporting including monthly financials, revenue reporting and functional expense reporting.
Conducts advanced analysis for middle and upper management and makes recommendations on reporting changes, entries and adjustments, pricing strategy, and/or forecasts.
Participates in the development and coordination of the annual planning calendar, budget and forecasts.
Proactively manages the budgeting and planning process for a plant or group of manufacturing operations including capital planning, departmental operating costs, overhead allocations and implements an appropriate review process.
Collaborates with FP&A management to ensure accurate review and approval of annual material, labor and overhead standards. Performs Cost Accounting activities as required for areas of responsibility.
Participates in cross-functional corporate initiatives to optimize financial systems and/or improve
Works with junior financial analyst(s) and may serve as a mentor to ensure successful accomplishments of individual and team goals and objectives.
Interacts with and supports both internal and external audit activities.
Attends and actively participates in pass down meetings and interacts with individuals of all levels on the manufacturing floor. Establishes a regular presence on the floor.
Provide Finance support, as needed, for periodic activities such as physical inventories, fixed asset audits, inventory excess and obsolescence, customer quotes, etc.
Requirements:
Strong knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP), policies and procedures is required.
Must have strong manufacturing experience and have strong cost analysis/cost accounting skills to be considered - i.e. BOM's, standards, PPV, gross margin analysis, pricing, quoting
Working knowledge of Power BI report writing capabilities is required.
Proficient in complex Excel spreadsheet and database structures required.
Strong organizational and analytical skills are a must.
5+ years of analysis, finance, or accounting experience.
Experience in a supplement or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
Ability to complete and draw conclusions from complex data analysis. Strong ability to apply knowledge to problem solving.
Demonstrated success to multitask and prioritize, working in a fast paced and changing environment, meeting deadlines in an accurate and timely manner.
Ability to connect with people - requires strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to work effectively cross functionally with all levels.
Able to work well under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines.
Remain engaged, proactive and positive in tough circumstances, owning assignments and taking full accountability for their success.
Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability; thrives in a changing/fast paced environment.
Proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook), Power BI experience is a plus.
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
