  • Integrate forecasts into planning processes such as transmission planning, resource adequacy assessments, and reliability studies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Transmission Planning, Resource Adequacy, Operations) to ensure forecast inputs and outputs meet project needs and are consistently applied.
  • Evaluate and improve forecasting methodologies, incorporating advanced techniques, statistical tools, and emerging best practices.
  • Document forecast assumptions, methodology, and results, preparing technical reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and policy groups.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with energy system planning models and utility planning environments (e.g., production simulation, planning software).
  • Familiarity with North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) standards and planning processes.
  • Understanding of regional energy markets and the role of resource adequacy planning and load forecasting in system reliability.
  • Prior work with stakeholder groups or industry committees on forecasting or data quality initiatives
