Business Analyst Insurance/ Reinsurance Data Governance

Join Arch Capital Group Ltd. as a Data Governance Analyst in a hybrid or remote role.

Location: Farmington, CT (hybrid) or fully remote within the U.S.
Pay Range: $110,000 $130,000 per year

What Youll Do

• Operationalize Data Governance by embedding best practices into project workflows.
• Consult with cross?functional project teams to align with enterprise data governance standards.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of platforms such as Data Catalog, Master/Reference Data Management, and Data Quality tools.
• Drive metadata excellence by collaborating to maintain accurate and accessible metadata across systems.
• Enable reference data standardization by providing data and business analysis support to harmonize reference data across the enterprise.

Responsibilities

• Partner with project teams to ensure alignment with Archs Data Governance framework.
• Provide guidance on data standards, policies, and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review project deliverables for compliance with governance requirements.
• Support the rollout and adoption of data governance processes across business units.
• Assist in the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of Data Catalog, MDM/RDM, and Data Quality platforms.
• Monitor platform usage and performance, and support user onboarding and training.
• Collaborate with data stewards to capture and maintain metadata, ensuring it is accurate, complete, and accessible via the data catalog.
• Conduct data analysis and business analysis to support reference data harmonization and define standard reference data values.
• Engage with business and technical stakeholders to understand data needs and promote governance tool adoption.

Required Skills

• Metadata Management: experience with data cataloging tools.
• Data Governance Tools: familiarity with MDM/RDM, data quality, and governance workflows.
• Business Analysis: translate business requirements into metadata for governance tools.
• Data Analysis: identify inconsistencies, gaps, and opportunities for standardization.
• SQL or Querying skills: basic to intermediate.
• Data Modeling concepts and governance & compliance knowledge.
• Tool proficiency with Collibra, Informatica Axon, Alation, Informatica Data Quality, Talend, PowerBI, Office 365, Confluence.
• Detail?oriented, problem?solving, and adaptable to dynamic environments.

Education / Experience

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in Data Governance, Metadata Management, Data Quality, MDM/RDM, and data stewardship, with preference for insurance or reinsurance industry.
• Experience with cloud?based applications and system testing.
