Role Overview
The Junior Data Analyst supports day-to-day reporting, data extraction, list preparation for outreach, and operational analytics. This role is focused on accuracy, consistency, attention to detail, and reliable turnaround times. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with SQL, handling multiple data sources, and preparing clean outputs for campaigns, operations, compliance, and BI.
This is an execution-focused role — someone who can follow established processes, maintain hygiene across email/SMS lists, and assist senior analysts with ongoing data work.
Key Responsibilities
Run scheduled and ad-hoc SQL queries across multiple databases (MySQL, SQL Server, internal systems).
Prepare extracts for email, SMS, and dialer campaigns (suppression logic, segmentation, list hygiene).
Pull operational data for account loads, QA, compliance, and management requests.
Ensure accuracy and consistency when preparing lists for delivery.
Update and maintain recurring reports (Power BI, Excel, CSV).
Assist with building dashboards by preparing cleaned, structured datasets.
Perform basic analysis: trends, variances, anomalies, and simple insights.
Validate numbers before distribution to internal stakeholders.
Clean, standardize, and validate datasets prior to use.
Identify duplicates, formatting issues, and missing values.
Maintain suppression lists, invalid emails, do-not-contact lists, and compliance datasets.
Support list hygiene for deliverability and outreach efficiency.
Assist operational teams (Digital, Collections, QA, MIS) with day-to-day data requests.
Monitor file loads, confirm counts, and ensure files are correctly formatted.
Work with Senior Analysts to troubleshoot data issues when they arise.
Maintain proper documentation for recurring processes.
Required Skills
Strong SQL (select, joins, filters, aggregations).
Comfortable with Excel/Google Sheets (pivot tables, lookups, formulas).
Basic understanding of databases and relational data.
Ability to follow SOPs, stay organized, and deliver consistent outputs.
Solid communication and reliability for daily standups and operational cadence.
Basic understanding of Power BI or other visualization tools is a plus.
Nice-to-Have
Experience with CRM datasets, call center data, or collections/ARM industry.
Knowledge of email/SMS marketing logic (suppression, opt-outs, segmentation).
Familiarity with deliverability concepts and list management.
Familiarity with API-based data pulls or automation tools (n8n, Zapier, etc.).
