In our Material Planning team we contribute daily by planning, coordinating, and ordering materials to support Sanofis production plans. Meeting these plans is critical for supplying our customers and patients with our Medicines and Vaccinations when needed. We are a high?performing team of Supply Chain professionals with patients and customers at the heart of everything we do.

Responsibilities

  • Manage materials in a 0?36 month horizon monthly planning cycle.
  • Review SAP recommendations for Purchase Requisitions, convert them into Purchase Orders, and consider inventory levels, safety stock policies, material coverage, expiry targets, and supplier agreements.
  • Send Purchase Orders/schedule lines to suppliers and update supplier confirmations to ensure receipt dates are available for planning and logistics operations.
  • Assess material availability and take action to mitigate constraints.
  • Manage material shortages with Site Planner or Scheduler depending on the horizon of the issue/constraint.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to monitor supply status and plan adherence, detecting exceptions early to mitigate supply risk.
  • Communicate rolling forecasts to suppliers up to 36 months, confirming suppliers capacity.
  • Coordinate material shortage risks to the Industrial Planner if shortages cannot be addressed at the site level.
  • Ensure purchased materials are delivered on time for testing and use.
  • Analyze and propose updates to master data to enhance industrial performance and review performance for process improvement.
  • Maintain applicable master data (safety stocks, reorder points, planning methods, lead times, etc.) and raise inconsistencies in master data rules.
  • Track KPIs and metrics such as Supplier OTIF, Service Level, Supplier Complaints, Master Data Accuracy, Inventory Targets/MOH/Safety Stock Adherence, and Write?off.
  • Minimize material write?offs and prevent occurrence by making necessary decisions and managing materials at risk while accounting for monthly reserves.
  • Partner with PQMR, QC, and Logistics to prioritize material releases and resolve delivery discrepancies, coordinating returns with suppliers.
  • Active member of site?wide critical materials management initiative, supporting Purchasing, Continuous Improvement, MSAT, and Supplier Quality efforts to reduce material risks.
  • Work with Accounts Payable to resolve invoicing issues and participate in Supplier Relationship Meetings to provide performance feedback and forecasts.
  • Complete miscellaneous projects and duties as assigned and contribute to transparency, MRP, critical material management, PCU, hot topics, Level 1 CI, Handover to Scheduler, and other meetings.

Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in Business Logistics, Supply Chain, Technical, Engineering, or Science field; 2+ years relevant professional experience.
  • Background in Supply Chain Planning, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry with strong MRP/ERP planning concepts and experience managing complex supplier relationships; APICS Certification in Inventory Management (CPIM) or Supply Chain (CSCP) preferred.
  • Communication: Ability to engage and collaborate with multiple partners within and outside the company.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to identify issues, find solutions, and take action to correct and prevent occurrence.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work with others to achieve a common goal.
  • Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage your workload efficiently.
  • Thoroughness: Detailed oriented, organized, and focused on correct and accurate first pass.
  • Strong understanding of MRP/ERP planning concepts; SAP experience preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and computer skills with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, etc.; must manage and analyze substantial data using Excel.
