Position Overview

As a Market Leader, you will lead and inspire store leaders and teams within a specific geographic market to deliver operational excellence in sales growth, talent development, campus relations, and customer service.

You will drive change management, provide clear strategic direction, motivate teams through collaborative communication, and demonstrate leadership in hiring, training, and retaining staff, all while elevating the retail shopping experience.

Responsibilities include establishing and enhancing campus relations, communicating Follett's priorities, achieving financial goals, supporting customer service excellence, overseeing store operations, managing course materials delivery, and ensuring effective accounts receivable processes across locations in your market.

Responsibilities

  1. Driving Results/Sales: Deliver exceptional results through business insight and operational expertise, including store visits, financial review, sales event planning, operational standards enforcement, merchandising, assortment planning, scheduling, partnership with ACCESS leaders, and managing course materials activities.
  2. Operational Functions: Ensure completion of back-office functions like accounts receivable, invoicing, chargebacks, stock shipments, and shrink budget management.
  3. Talent Management: Lead recruitment, training, coaching, performance feedback, succession planning, and talent development to foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  4. Campus Relations: Build strong relationships with campus communities, administration, athletics, faculty, and staff; review campus operations; collaborate on opportunities; and conduct SPR meetings biannually.
  5. Customer Service: Lead teams to provide engaging, best-in-class customer experiences, coach on service behaviors, optimize store scheduling, resolve escalated issues, and analyze data to improve results.
