Candidates must be 18 years or older by May 23.
Candidates must obtain a lifeguard certification before USLA Open Water Training. (Classes offered at Blossman YMCA)
Join us at Ship Island and become part of a team dedicated to protecting and assisting beachgoers. Whether you are a seasoned lifeguard or new to the field, this is your opportunity to demonstrate your skills and make a difference!
What to Expect:
- 600-yard swim in 10 minutes or less
- 1.5 mile run in 14 minutes or less
Must be 18 years or older by the start of the 2025 Season!
Candidates must obtain a lifeguard certification before open water lifeguard training.
Tryout Dates:
Saturday, December 14 @ 9:00 AM
Saturday, December 21 @ 9:00 AM
Saturday, January 4 @ 9:00 AM
Saturday, February 8 @ 9:00 AM
Tryouts will be held at the Blossman YMCA Natatorium.
