Job Title: Medical Assembler II (1st Shift)

Client: Medical Device Manufacturing Company

Duration: 12 months

Location: Brooklyn Park, MN 55445

Shift: 1st Shift (5:00 AM to 3:30 PM)

Pay rate: $20/hr

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred with 1-2 years of medical device or ISO-certified assembly experience.
  • In lieu of a high school diploma, 2-3 years of relevant assembly experience required.
  • Ability to communicate via phone, email, or in person with supervisors, leads, and team members.
  • Understand verbal and written work instructions.
  • Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
  • Capability to work in a clean room environment, following practices and procedures.
  • Perform repetitive tasks per set procedures and pace.
  • Knowledge of Good Documentation Practices, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Lean Manufacturing preferred.
  • Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination for assembling small parts and subassemblies.
  • Operate equipment (e.g., microscopes, test equipment, ultrasonic welders, calipers, pressure gauges) after training.
  • Basic MS Windows and specific PC program skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Set machine controls for molding temperature, volume, pressure, and time.
  • Maintain knowledge of plastics and molding procedures.
  • Position and secure molds and components on machine press beds.
  • Utilize production order packets and document process parameters.
  • Achieve quality parts and optimized cycle times.
  • Use troubleshooting skills for repeatable molding processes.
  • Address high reject levels.
  • Handle and maintain materials, molds, and tooling properly.
  • Promote a positive work environment and align with company objectives.
  • Maintain a clean, safe workspace.

Competencies:
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read and comprehend written directions and safety instructions.
  • Basic math and accurate measurement skills.
  • Ability to inspect and differentiate between acceptable and defective products.
  • Record accurate production data.
  • Adaptability to multiple tasks/processes.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • ISO-certified assembly experience.
  • High school diploma or GED.

Other Requirements:
  • Acceptable attendance record.
  • Stand for 10-hour shifts.
  • Lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Adhere to Good Documentation and Manufacturing Practices.
  • Maintain accurate written production records (Device History Records, Data Sheets).
  • Follow housekeeping and safety policies.

Frequent lifting or moving of 10-40 lbs. required.
